What are determination studies?

Determination studies is a very broad heading for a test that identifies an unknown physical characteristic or constituent content of a sample. At Honeyman we have a wealth of experience of taking on bespoke client projects and adding that knowledge to our portfolio.

Why do we do them?

Whether it be for a regulatory/pharmacopoeial requirement or a product specific test, there is often the requirement for niche analysis for niche products.

How do we assure compliance?

Determination studies are composed of a whole complement of testing performed upon client request, some examples of this can be found below:

• Melting point
• Refractive index
• Weight per millimetre, density, relative density and apparent density
• Ash/Sulphated Ash
• Loss on drying
• Water content
